You can find a break in a underground dog or pet fence by turning the raido field on the transmitter up all the way.(take receiver off pets first)and remember where the dial is set so you can set it back to the same setting when you are done. After setting the field up all the way use a am walkman and set the am dial as low as it can go.The easy place to start is the driveway because in most cases you can see where the wire crossing is.Next hold the walkman near the wire and you should hear a feedback.Next follow the feedback till it fades to nothing and you should be near the break just dig up the wire and tug it should come loose.Next pull out the slack and stretch it out to find the distance of the other side.Splice the two together and seal water tight and thats it.(this may not work with all systems but most of them should not be a problem)Should this not work follow these directions1. Go to Radio Shack and by RF choke catalog #273-1022. Disconnect the 2 twisted wires from the transmitter and and wrap them around the choke one on each side.3. Connect the choke with the wires attached into the transmitter (same as where the twist was removed)4. Plug transmitter in.5.Follow directions above. When useing the RF choke you may need to adjust the signal field lower for small yards and up for larger yards. Also try adjusting the am radio between am530 and am600. Good luck

There are many wonderful benefits from learning how to appropriately train your little dog and if any of you out there are confused on how this is accomplished then perhaps you should consider purchasing yourself some dog training books, they could really be quite helpful to you. Your dog is just pretty much there for you, to play and love and feed and whatever else that you see fit. Unless you properly and efficiently train them, that is about all that they are going to do. Well, that and chew up furniture, shoes and anything else that they can get their teeth into. Not only chewing but they will also probably bark entirely too much, for no apparent reason, along with not listening to anything that you try and say to them. This is why dog training is just absolutely necessary and important for anyone who is thinking about becoming a dog owner. There are countless dog training books out there, available for teaching anyone how to properly train their dogs and all it takes is just a little bit of reading, time and some patience.

If you really are consistent with your dog training abilities, your dog will reap from it and the benefits are so worth any amount of hassle that you might have had to go through in order to properly train them. You have the ability to purchase dog training books right from your home computer system because there are so many different websites available that do offer dog training books and usually they are fairly inexpensive. There is no way at all that you could possibly read up too much about dog training because there is just always something to be learned from it and it will be so rewarding for you and your dog if you could just take the time out to spend training them and teaching them everything that they need to know. Rewarding your dog is the best way to get them to do what you are wanting them to do and being persistent ofcourse. They learn when you repeat things over and over and before you know it, they could be as well trained and well behaved as any other wonderful and amazing dog out there and it does not matter which breed they are, they are all capable of learning.

Dog training books can be so very helpful and if you find some that interest you then you should continue with your readings because you might just be amazed as to how much useful information is in these types of books. Your dog will benefit from this tremendously and you will just be thrilled by the results, no doubt about that. Talk to a friend who has experienced dog training and ask them what they think of it or which dog training book they might recommend to you, that could be very helpful in properly training your dog.

It is just as important for us, the humans, to learn more about efficient and appropriate dog training techniques, as it is for our dogs to learn how to behave properly. Now, in this article I am hoping to really shed some light on this subject, to educate you a little bit more on what you, the owner of the dog, should be doing, that your dog could really benefit from in the long run. Without appropriate dog training, you are asking for some serious trouble out of your pet and if you could just learn how to be more patient, your dog could really turn out to be one of the best pooches around, seriously. It is in your hands to know what to do that can teach your dog how to behave and how to listen to all of your commands, or atleast most of them. Your dog will respond to you appropriately, if you are training them in an appropriate manner. If you are screaming at them and spanking them every single day then chances are, they will just end up very unhappy and not too thrilled with having an owner like you.

Dog training does not have to be that complicated but so many of us are guilty about not being consistent when it comes to training our pets. This is why there are so many ill mannered, untrained dogs running around out there, when it does not really have to be this way. It will not take that long at all, if you go about it the correct way. So, how do you train your dog in an appropriate manner? Well, in this article I really want to inform you about some of the many techniques that you can apply when training your dog. It is time for you and everyone else that owns a dog to really understand more, right now, about appropriate and more efficient dog training skills, they can truly pay off in the end. Finding the best and most helpful information on how to properly train your dog will really save you so many days of stressing out and not really knowing what to do, in order to get your dog to listen to what you say to them.

Another very important thing for all dog owners to remember is the fact that you should never, under any circumstances, take this too seriously and end up wearing your dog out or making them feel bad. Appropriate dog training will take time but you do not need to overdo it by any means. Only work with them for just about twenty minutes out of your day, otherwise they will not respond the way that you are hoping that they will. They do much better when it comes to them in very small doses, so please remember that the next time that you find yourself trying to “train” your dog every few minutes throughout the day. Let them have some down time to just play and be fun loving animals, as they are.

There are so many different things that everyone should know, when it comes to dog training and actually doing something that works. Many people tend to have so many misconceptions about dog training and it is a great deal of the reason as to why so many dogs run around untrained and misbehaving for their owners. One mistake that is constantly made by dog owners is, punishing the dog in order to teach them. This will only get you so far and for the most part you will just be talking to yourself because you will not get the response from your dog that you had hoped for. The only way to get a dog to listen to your commands or to pay any attention to you at all is to get to know your dog and show them that they can trust in you right from the start.

Many owners think that spanking their dog or yelling at their dog is the only way to ever get them to listen and this just could not be more incorrect. Rewards, praise and the right kind of dog training, for whatever it is that you are trying to teach them, is the best way to get the results that you had been hoping for and really the only way, other than just hiring a professional dog trainer to take over the training of your dog. The dog owners out there that are just doing things all wrong are usually the ones that just end up giving up on the entire thought of trying to actually train their dogs, which is not going to get them anywhere. The best thing that you could do, as the dog owner, would be to really consider picking up some dog training books for yourself because in these types of books you will be able to find out about all different types of dog training techniques and what works, as well as what does not work for any dog out there. The amount of knowledge that you will gain from reading over these types of books should be enough to make it possible for you to learn how to train your dog properly and the techniques should end up working.

Another important thing to keep in mind when trying to get into dog training any dog is to never, under any circumstances, ever overtrain your dog. Spend just a limited amount of time in each day, working on some of the different dog training techniques that you have learned from doing the research and then just leave it at that, until the next day anyway. If you try and do too many different things with your dog, all in one day, your chances of it actually being a success are just very, very small. Just try and stick to a routine, just like you would with children, this is truly the best way to become successful at dog training any dog out there, no matter what the situation is.

Loosing your dog can be a very worrying time for the most calm of us, and whether the blame was on you or it was on other circumstances, finding the lost dog should be your number one priority, the quicker you get started on looking for your dog, the quicker you will find them.

First you should keep calm and asses the situation properly; over-worrying will cause you to forget things that seem common sense to others. Start by closing all the doors in your house and properly searching your home. Dogs can find their way into most places unimaginable to us humans so look in every place possible and places you think would be impossible.

After you have search your house and dishwasher, clothes dryer, washing machine, and attic you will have to start to look outside, look in al the places your dog like to go to start with , then if not found, start to scour your neighbourhood looking underneath cars, hedges and bushes asking and taking to everyone on your travels.

If after searching your neighbourhood for your dog you do not find them, then the next day you should continue the same routine as the previous day, shouting your dogs name at all times and listening for any response.

After this stage, finding the numbers for local vets or pet health care services in your area may be a good idea to see if any injured or lost animals of your dog’s description have been rescued or found within the last few days. If not then flyers with a picture and a phone number should be posted and put up within a mile radius of your home, and checking the ‘found’ pages in the newspapers to look for any results.

If you follow the steps above you secure the best chance of finding your pet alive and well in a quick timescale and without too much worry.

Always remember to take down and remove the flyers after you have found you dog to maintain a good relationship with the people around you and a clean neighbourhood.

I am a new dog owner. The name of my dog is “Tunnu” and he is not behaving very well as of now. He bites our bed sheets and tears them off .. will bark in the mid night to spoil our sleep. I am looking for some good dog training ebooks which can teach me how to make the dog understand my commands and other things like shake hand and jumps etc.
