Dog training does not have to be that complicated but so many of us are guilty about not being consistent when it comes to training our pets. This is why there are so many ill mannered, untrained dogs running around out there, when it does not really have to be this way. It will not take that long at all, if you go about it the correct way. So, how do you train your dog in an appropriate manner? Believe it or not you actually have the opportunity to experience a Dog Training course over the internet, if you choose to do so. Many people have chosen this as a way to help properly train their little pooches and it can work! Some skeptics are probably leery about this type of thing, wondering how in the world this would be at all possible and one of the concerns is the fact that you will not have the opportunity to ask the teacher of the online Dog Training course any questions. If this too is a real concern for you then the way that you should look at it is, paying a real life hands on instructor is going to cost you much more than taking an online dog training course, where you watch a recorded piece of an instructor providing you with all of the information that you would need to train your dog appropriately.

The really awesome thing that so many people are thrilled about after taking their online dog training course is the fact that they were the ones that had the special opportunity of actually training their beloved dog, not some stranger that they had to pay an enormous amount of money for. Being able to do it yourself by just watching a recorded video, will give you such a good feeling of achievement on your part and the fact that you and your dog are getting the chance to spend that one on one time with each other is just really great and has so many wonderful benefits as well. You and your dog can sit right there in your comfortable home, with comfortable surroundings for both of you and experience this video together, it will definitely be a big learning experience, for you and for your precious dog.

Another wonderful thing about having the ability to watch an online dog training video is the fact that you will have the opportunity to view it as many times as you would want to. So, if your dog does not catch on right away, which they normally do not, you will have many chances to spend quality time with him, teaching him right from wrong and even learning a few cool little tricks with him along the way. He will enjoy it just as much as you will and being able to save yourself some money is always a really great thing right! Dog training is definitely worth any amount of money spent and any amount of your time spent also because your dog will benefit from the experience in so many different ways. You will be so very happy with the results and you will be so excited about showing him off to your friends and family and also being able to inform them that you yourself are responsible for properly training your dog. Everyone will notice the difference the first time that they come around him, after the online dog training course and you will just feel so very proud.

There are so many different things that everyone should know, when it comes to Dog Training and actually doing something that works. Many people tend to have so many misconceptions about Dog Training and it is a great deal of the reason as to why so many dogs run around untrained and misbehaving for their owners. One mistake that is constantly made by dog owners is, punishing the dog in order to teach them. This will only get you so far and for the most part you will just be talking to yourself because you will not get the response from your dog that you had hoped for. The only way to get a dog to listen to your commands or to pay any attention to you at all is to get to know your dog and show them that they can trust in you right from the start.

Many owners think that spanking their dog or yelling at their dog is the only way to ever get them to listen and this just could not be more incorrect. Rewards, praise and the right kind of dog training, for whatever it is that you are trying to teach them, is the best way to get the results that you had been hoping for and really the only way, other than just hiring a professional dog trainer to take over the training of your dog. The dog owners out there that are just doing things all wrong are usually the ones that just end up giving up on the entire thought of trying to actually train their dogs, which is not going to get them anywhere. The best thing that you could do, as the dog owner, would be to really consider picking up some dog training books for yourself because in these types of books you will be able to find out about all different types of dog training techniques and what works, as well as what does not work for any dog out there. The amount of knowledge that you will gain from reading over these types of books should be enough to make it possible for you to learn how to train your dog properly and the techniques should end up working.

Another important thing to keep in mind when trying to get into dog training any dog is to never, under any circumstances, ever overtrain your dog. Spend just a limited amount of time in each day, working on some of the different dog training techniques that you have learned from doing the research and then just leave it at that, until the next day anyway. If you try and do too many different things with your dog, all in one day, your chances of it actually being a success are just very, very small. Just try and stick to a routine, just like you would with children, this is truly the best way to become successful at dog training any dog out there, no matter what the situation is.

7 Most Believed Myths About Dogs and Dog Training Dispelled

1.Dogs do not feel – One of the myths which is very far from the truth. In fact it has been stated many a times that the pain response in humans and dogs is neurologically the same. Though it has difficult to determine the existence of the extent of feelings like love and guilt, they certainly are not emotionless.

2.Training an older dog is impossible – Of course older dogs undergo behavioral and physiological and neurological changes as they grow older but don’t we? You cannot feed your older dog the same way as they were fed when young. Those who ignore owner’s commands may even do so because of hearing loss. But it possible to train them through hand signals.

So the methodology of training must be different but it definitely not fair to say they cannot be trained.

3.Whole family should be training masters for the dog – Training the dog is a family job but the person teaching and training the dog with commands should be only one. The others in the family should reinforce the training with the same commands expecting the same behavior output.

4.Punish the guilty dog – Punishment is never the answer. Firstly, it is simply not humane and secondly, it is useless because dogs cannot associate the bad behavior with the punishment as a consequence. Yelling and turning away from your dog only bewilders it.

5.Training can strip the dog of their spirit – Training just gives a direction to the dogs energy. It is an opportunity for them to spend time with their owners. Most training is also a fun session for them. Channeling their time from bad behavior can hardly strip them of their spirit.

6.Dogs do not like being trained – Dogs are pack animals. It is in their instinct to look up to someone for instructions. When no one leads them they only tend to get aggressive and cause trouble. Training establishes the pack feeling with the owner/trainer being alpha and they also get to have treats and activity.

7.Household dogs do not need training – A dog existing in a leaderless realm is not a happy dog. A dog needs to be balanced, trained of allowed activities and leadership over the dog must be established. Dog energy which is not channelized can only lead to chaos. Dog ownership is a responsibility to a dog and to the society. It is upto the owner to train the dog to keep him and the society safe from harm. Whatever be the breed or age of Dog Training is mandatory. Would I not say training itself is mandatory when I feel it is not enough to just train your dog but consistently practice your training?

Things You Should Know About Dog Training

Known as man’s best friend, Dogs are the most loved domesticated animals in the world. Having a dog or puppy in a family is quite exciting for that family. But just having a dog or a puppy is not all. One should also pay attention to training his/her dog properly so that he can become an obedient and accepting part of the family. Dog Training is not a simple job; it demands certain skills and approaches in order to make it useful, which can be learned in course of training. It is believed to be a good idea to train your dog yourself, though you can appoint or hire an expert or specialized dog trainer to look after the job. But both the ways have their respective merits and demerits. Though you might commit mistakes and there could be instability in your approach it is always helpful to train your dog yourself as it gives you a better chance of establishing that significant contact or communication between you and your dog. You will gradually understand how your dog is reacting to any particular situation or what cause them to do a specific action – like barking. On the contrary, appointing a skilled person gives you immediate results but does not allow you to experience the “trial and error” method possible when training personally, which can be useful at some point of time. Some will ask you to go for a blend of the two – train yourself, but also join a professional Dog Training class. This helps you to attend several things, its like eating your cake, and still keeping it. It also cuts down your expenses, needed in the case of professional trainer and still providing with the professional direction for the training. At the same time it also allows you to establish that special bond, which is possible when you train your dog by yourself. Always keep in mind that patience; environment, and rewards are very important factors, irrespective of how you chose to train your dog. These factors affect a lot and give you total success if properly maintained. While training you need patience, keeping in mind the fact that you are going to communicate with someone who does not speak your language or follow your way of using any communicative methods. If you see that your hard work is not yielding any satisfactory results or that you are not being able to proceed with it just do not give up. It will take some time to make your dog bark or sit by simply uttering or calling out some words to him as it is not a language which is natural or previously known to him. You have to go for many repetitions and must praise him, whenever he does something correctly, to get results. Environment also plays an important part in dog training as dogs are very much influenced by their environment. It is better to do the training session in a quiet place with fewer disturbances, as any disturbance at the time of training can easily distract their attention. On the other hand you can select a noisier place for advanced training, but only after he is trained in basic obedience. Dogs, being man’s good friend, always try to please their owners and keep them contented. So in order to get a profitable result you must let know your dog when you are happy with him and reward him with cuddles or any treat after he performs anything, the way you wanted. This will give your dog an impression that you are happy with him and he will try to hold up this act of his in future. So, dog training can be equally challenging and easy, if you follow the instructions provided to you here.

I have trained my own dogs for hunt tests, which are similar to field trials. Anyway, I have been thinking about placing some ads to see if I can get a few customers for basic obedience. At this time I have not attended any formal training other than some videos and group training sessions. Has anyone tried to do something like this part time? Thanks.

I am planning on getting a dog, but I’ve never had one before and I don’t know the first thing about training. I want to train it so it doesn’t end up like my cousin’s dog who jumps all over people and barks at everything. I want my dog to be my buddy so please hook me up with some sort of DVD to give me the basics of training my new dog right.
